The American Society of Extracorporeal Technology supports the mission of education for perfusionists active in the practice of extracorporeal circulation technology in order to improve patient care and safety. The society has developed standards and guidelines for the use of extracorporeal circulation devices based on clinical evidence and currently accepted perfusion practices.
