Heart Care International provides pro-bono, high-quality compassionate surgical and medical care to indigent children and teenagers in developing countries. Heart Care International’s missions have two objectives: 1) to provide practical cardiac training to local medical professionals; and 2) to reduce the long list of children in need of life-saving surgical treatment. Heart Care International commits to host countries for a minimum of 5 years and currently works in Guatemala, Mexico, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, and Peru.
Heart Healers International’s underlying premise is that no child with treatable heart disease should be left behind. The organization brings life-saving heart diagnostics and treatments to children in African countries.
