Started in 2020, this unique educational initiative is a monthly lecture series targeted towards trainees in congenital cardiac anesthesia. This series presents a wide range of topics in congenital cardiac anesthesia and offers trainees the chance to learn from leaders in the field across a variety of disciplines including anesthesiologists, cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, and researchers. The goals of this series are to provide consistency of education in this specialized field and to foster a sense of community. Past topics have included echocardiography, cath lab hemodynamics, single ventricle physiology, arrythmias and pacemakers, and quality improvement. This lecture series is currently open to all trainees in congenital cardiac anesthesia. To encourage active participation and small group learning, this lecture series is not currently recorded.
The lectures take place one Monday evening a month for 1 hour starting at 7PM EST/4PM PST.
