The Sociedad Mexicana de Anestesiólogos Cardiotorácicos, A. C. was established with the vision of being an avant-garde society at the national and international level, by integrating interdisciplinary efforts among anesthesiologists supported by basic and clinical knowledge of the specialty allowing its members to provide high quality care for the cardiac patient so that he/she returns to the family and social bosom in an early way.

The mission of SMACT is to promote joint efforts of all cardiothoracic anesthesiologists for adequate care of patients with heart disease who deserve the support of the Society in their different areas. It aims to promote basic and clinical research whose results influence the highest quality care at the national level, establishing the needs and priorities supported by understanding and humanism towards the patient. SMACT wishes to interact with partner organizations with similar goals.
