Issues surrounding bleeding and coagulation are an academically interesting and clinically challenging component of our daily practice as pediatric cardiac anesthesiologists. The Hemostasis Interest Group developed out of a desire to share innovative ideas and address best practices in this arena. We began in 2015 with a goal of forming a community within CCAS to share information and local best practices, and have worked on projects at the intersection of research and quality improvement. We welcome new members, from academic and private practice, both attending physicians and trainees, to join our collaborative group.
